Our DIY Day with Candle Deli
Susters4Life has received a generous donation of soap from Angelique, the owner of Candle Deli. We met Angelique at a photography workshop, and she was touched by our work as a South African NGO working with impoverished women. She has kindly donated 200kg of soap to Susters4Life, which we will be turning into beautiful handmade bath soaps and selling to raise funds.
About Candle Deli
Candle Deli is a supplier of high quality candle-making and soap-making materials, including cocoa butter, fragrance oils, soy wax, candle dyes, clear glycerine soap and more. You can shop online for these goodies, and Candle Deli will deliver them to your door – anywhere in South Africa or Namibia.
Catering to the crafty types out there, Candle Deli also hosts regular workshops and demos that teach the art of soap-making, packaging and photography.
Making Festive Bath Goodies to Raise Funds
This week, our team attended a soap-making workshop with Nicole Seabrooke, an aromatherapist and author of the book Soap, Bubbles & Scrubs: Natural Products to Make for Your Body and Home. Nicole showed us how to turn the Candle Deli supplies into beautiful, fragrant bath and body products.
We’re so happy with how these goodies turned out! We are going into production next week, to be ready for the Christmas season with some lovely bath and body gifts. All money we make from sales will be used to fund the upcoming Susters4life programmes.
A big thank you to Angelique, Nicole and the Candle Deli team for making this possible! Your kindness is helping us to strengthen our efforts in making a difference.
