What is ‘Period Poverty?’

Period poverty is the term used to describe a  lack of access to menstrual hygiene products due to  financial constraints.

For girls and women in rural communities of South Africa,  this is a prevalent problem with a significant socio-economic impact.

Without equal access to pads and other sanitary products,  the overall health, dignity and literacy levels of female  South Africans are greatly affected.

Help us to end period poverty in our country by supporting the Susters4Life initiatives – find out more here: shorturl.at/ae038
